This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 convertible was sold to its first owner through Van Ness Oldsmobile in San Francisco, California. It was purchased by its current owner in February 1987, and the body was refinished in Cameo White in the early 1990s. The cabin is appointed with power windows, cruise control, air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, and black vinyl front bucket seats, and the car is powered by an overhauled 400ci V8 linked to a TH400 three-speed automatic and a limited-slip differential. Further equipment includes a power-operated black convertible top, Super Stock I wheels, BFGoodrich red-line tires, front bucket seats, power steering, power-assisted brakes, and a dual exhaust system. This 442 convertible is now offered with an owner’s manual, service manuals, a Protect-O-Plate, and a clean Oregon title in the name of the seller and their spouse.The car left the factory finished in Cameo White with a black soft top, and the seller tells us it was repainted in the factory color circa 1993 after rust repairs were completed on the lower parts of the fenders. Exterior equipment includes a power-operated convertible top, power-operated antenna, quad headlights, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, “442” badging, and dual exhaust outlets with trumpet-style finishers. The car also comes with a remote trunk opener. The windshield washer mechanism may require repair, the vinyl boot cover fits tightly, and the driver’s door/window weather seal requires replacement.
